my newused 89 CRXsi
i just purchased this 89CRXsi last weekend for a cool 250$. the body is kind of roughed up. but the engine runs like a top. my goal over the winter is too get her looking sharp... crisp if you will. Im not looking to tweak the engine. Maybe some bolt ons. I just want a pimp ride. Murder her out all black... drop her a few.. clean the engine up nice nice.
Anyways i took some drunk pictures last nite. Here they are in no perticular order.
previous owners attempt to "clean" the valve cover

Holy **** what a piece of crap..JK... Looks like a dremel was used on the valve cover ha ha they should of used AIRCRAFT paint stripper $10 at lordco which works pro. As for the body work with the fiberglass attempt watta joke..
Hopefully you can turn this lump of coal into a clean beauty!
Overall it not too bad and for the price whata steal, good luck with it.
Oh ya ditch those gay *** taillights

i got bored this weekend and decided to do something about the valve cover.
went to my local u-pull-it junk yard and picked up a new cover for 10$, also picked up some gloss black enamel and some sandpaper. soaked the cover in simplegreen/clr/water solution. took it out and scrubbed it good. then gave it a once over with some 180grit sandpaper. i then took a dremmel tool and buffed the **** out of the honda H. i gave her a quick rinse, dried her off and taped of the H with some painters tape. i gave it one light coat waited 10 minutes and then another light coat. waited 10 more minutes and then gave it a nice medium coat. let her set for a little bit and while the paint was still wet, pulled the tape off.
ANYWAYS... heres a couple of pictures.
the cover right after i scrubbed it.

the cover after the final coat... (couldn't use the flash on my camera cause the paint was so damn glossy all you saw was a white spot)

then i figured what the hell.. why not
