I was wondering if you guys out there would be able to tell me if it was possible to swap out the front bumper from a 98-00 4dr to a 02 4dr. The reason being, I've been trying to look for some decent lip kits for my 02 but the ones I want are fitted for the 98-00, can't seem to find the ones for mine. Thanks in advance!

 

if you got a sedan, then you can just modify a little bit of the kit to fit, if you got a coupe then the bumper swap is a direct swap with no extras.

 

I seen a lot people put 98-00 lips on 01-02 accord front bumpers. If you want pictures just say so. All you have to do is cut where the 98-00 ends come up because the mouth of the 01-02 is wider or stick oem foglights in the side gaps. I personally put or had a 03+ accord oem front lip on my 02'.

 

Thanks for the replies, if possible I really would like to see some pictures that you mentioned. Also another reason why I wanted to swap to a 98-00 front bumper is because I think the mouth of it looks cleaner (better) than my oem one, imo it has a more aggresive look.

I've also tried putting a 98-00 lip on my bumper before, looked nice but it didn't fit all the way around.

 

Well it's what you like. What lip are you aiming for?

 

I was looking to get something simple and clean looking, like the Wings West W-Type 4 piece. Either that or the Mugen style lip.

Oem front lip right off the 03' accord sedan

If I didn't do all this conversion crap. I would have did an 03+ kaminari full lip kit off the accord sedan. With euro accord R interior and front clip. still debating.

I wish I had those oem foglights at the time. It looks better with out the splitter but I like splitters because it saves my bumper from cracking the side mounting points.

That lip is pretty nice, I'd like some info on it as well if possible if you are able to find one.

 

It's just an 03' accord lip. I did no modifications to it but run 6 screws total. 2 on each side ends to hold to the bumper and 2 in the center part of the bumper because of where it slightly curves up but looks to fit very perfectly. It looks very clean in person without all those crazy accessories I had on it.
