Default quick 02 sensor question

If my check engine light is on, and the code reads out to be air/fuel mixture, and this all started after I took an exhaust system off my ep3 and put the stock one back on. Could I have bumper the o2 sensor, and are they reallly that sensitive? Which sensor is: bank 1, sensor 1? How many o2 sensors are actually on my car? 2002 ep3? thanks guys

Bank 1 sensor 1 is before the cat convertor, it is possible to damage it from a hard bump.

Yes, two O2 sensors. When I put on my header, the pins pulled out of the plug without me knowing. So, I had to try all types of combinations on the pins into the plug before finally getting a rough wiring diagram from a UK Type R that had the correct combination to fix it and make the light go away.

pins? does the end of the wires connect to pins that go through the rubber part in the end of the sensor? if I were to take out the o2 sensor and look at it, how will I know if its bad? Autozone sells an o2 sensor that you have to wire in that they claim is the same thing as the stock one, the only difference is about 180$. Would that be a wise decision? If it is the o2 sensor and I where to replace it, is there anything I need to do like reset the ecu to get the light to go away? I have been getting pretty shitty gas mileage since the light came on.

Yes, the O2 sensor controls your fuel milage. Stick with OEM sensor, you wont have to buy it twice.

The ECU will reset itself if the problem goes away.
