Default Right O-ring???

I just got a package of Honda parts that I ordered and one of the items was an o-ring for the head's oil dowel. The problem is I'm not sure if it's the right ring. It's tubular instead of flat and it doesn't fit snug in place. I wasn't sure if it will flatten out and seal when the cam cap is torqued down, or if it's just the wrong o-ring. The new ring is on the left and the old one on the right.

it should be the right one. the flatness is just from being old and worn. circular is how they look before they are used
