Default What would you go for with 3000$?!!!

Sup guys. Some of you may already know that I've owned an R and that I'm moving to Canada in the next few weeks. My aim is to buy another R as soon as I have enough money...
At the beginning I was thinking of buying a 99-00 American SI or Canadian SIR once I arrive to Canada.
But hey money is not unlimited and I'm afraid 6000$ would be too much for me at the beginning. So what?
I've decided not to spend more than 3000$ for a car at my arrival, but I'm still looking for fun
So the question is: do you guys know ANY Japanese car that can give one fun for 3000$ and is still reliable?!!!
Other solution is to keep my money and wait 3-4 months to buy an SI before I get my R
Thanx for reading, all the inputs are welcome

So you want a daily to handle your every day needs? Buy a civic or accord. I picked up a 93' EX in June. I'v put close to 10k on it since then and I haven't spent a time on maintenance (The previous owner took good care of it which helps). You can't Honda reliability.

^^ That would be $$$ WELL spent.

$3k won't get you much. Civics, 95 and below or 93 and below Integras or Accords can be found in that range.

save and don't buy something on impulse unless it's a good buy.

Goodluck finding a nice rust free honda for $3000 in Canada. You can find a reliable car for 3K but its not going to be easy on the eyes.

Im selling this without a motor for $2500 near Toronto. I can put a motor in for the buyer.

Autotrader.ca Start looking for cars now.

True but wheels make or break a car. And its all about being different!

I know that 3000 is far from being a lot of money lol But I'm not looking for a SI or an R Just a car to handle everyday needs for 3/6 months and that will be sold (or kept as DD) after that (to buy a nice SI or an R). If it could still be fun to drive (I didn't say a rocket ) that would be better. For e.g I've seen many civic coupe (EK) for sale at around 3000$, but I don't know which one has the sohc Vtec engine?

It's not about making or breaking the way my car looks, I have lots of wheels...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by coptzer &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">dont you think thats a bit ridiculous .... i mean your paying more for a set of wheels then most people pay for a 94-95 integra</TD></TR></TABLE>
It is, but it is what it is... It's something I've been looking for, for quite awhile. There's only 6-7 known EXISTING sets and I wasn't going to pass on them, for nothing...
