Default AEM, Injen or Password CF Intake? Which is better?

just as title says! i need some opinions, best overall, anything to help me decide which one i want.

im leaning towards the password cf one, but i've heard bad things about it and that its just for looks and doesn't really make a differnece for an intake.

I think you were looking for absorb heat or suffer from heat soak.... and if so than I have to ask you, do you have the coolant lines that connect to your throttle body disconnected?

to op: I'd say if you were going for the cf look than to get cf but beyond that which ever is cheapest will work.

For the most part, I've read the "whale *****" cf units (like the password one) tend to cause a higher fuel consumption but I've not used it so I cannot verify.

The AEM 3" cold air works WAY better than the password CF whale ***** thing.. I know, I've dyno tested them back to back on numerous cars.

No, I don't sell any air intakes, I was just bored and had some free time with my dyno..

i dont want to go with a CAI though because i live in iowa and in the winter i dont want to have to worry about those slushy puddles or in the summer the HUGE thunderstorms that flood the streets.

i want a short ram that will work good with supercharger as well as not suck in the hot air from the engine, or is that not possible?

i like the CF look but if i can get a cheaper aem one that will be better performance then DUH i would def. do that

i have an Aem 3' cai.. it ripps on very very cold nights. my friend one of those "Whale *****" intakes. its pretty decent but i couldnt tell much performance was added why you would rather run and intake that under the hood. if you were to know anything about cars underneath the hood tends to get really warm.. ur getting all that warm air as in a cold air intake ur gettting More Air the faster you go. and its alot cooler.... better for you engine i think and it'll probably save you more gas. correct me if im wrong. i just love my AEM CAI

The reason the AEM makes more horsepower than the whale dick is cross-sectional diameter and length. Flow velocity.

in theory, on modern fuel injected cars, lowering the intake temperature will actually decrease fuel economy. some people searching for extreme economy run "warm air intakes" to near the exhaust manifold. although any difference in fuel economy between even a CAI and WAI is very marginal.

You know that the ambient temp inside your engine bay is like 5 degrees warmer than the temp outside above like 40mph. You ever put your hand out your window when you're driving? Air seems colder, doesn't it? Once you get moving you're just shoving that air inside your bay through your bumper.

And as far as the OP is concerned

Tuned length intake>AEM>Whale *****

I too was looking at getting one of these. From what I read they are the only intake that "works".
Question is, will the fit an SiR Integra (GSR Integra) manifold/TB given that they lie lower than Si Civics and Type R ones?
Now if all comes to all I have a nice shiney Skunk2 IM sitting here ready to go on if needs be,I was just holding out for cams though...?
