I am having trouble with a B16a into a EF hatch. I have wired everything exactly like HASport says, I have checked 100 times along with some friends. We changed from 2 injectors to 4, the car is a DX. The distributer will not fire. I have changed the coil and igniter with new ones and a new cap. I have even put on 2 different distributers, and tried different computers. I have changed everything a couple of times with no luck. Please help if you can.

 

did you change the dx distrib plug to the circle style plug(si) there are two white wires on this plug correct. if you distributor doesn't fire swap the two white wires because if there mixed up you won't get spark ...................peace

 

what do you mean "change" the distributer plug. I used the DX wiring harness and added everything and lengthened what needed. Which 2 white wires? I am going to look right now. thank you for your help.

 

I changed the white wires and still nothing. i have 12 volts at the secondary on the coil, but it's like it's not coming through the cap. I checked/replaced the rotor and still did nothing.

 

dx plug had to be changed because it is square and b16a distrib plug is circle shaped and the two wires i am talking about, one should have a red tag but usually it's off but that's the main power to the distrib did you have spark?

 

i dont know if the TPS has anything to do with anything
but did u reverse the throttle position sensor, the B16a spins the other way....

and check your grounds.!

 

I have checked every ground many times, even under the dash. The car and the engine were running we did the switch. I am stumped, I changed the TPS wires too and nothing, I have been working on this thing for days, somebody please help I'm going crazy...
