Default EP Hatch or 06-Up Coupe?

Im having trouble deciding what I want to buy after I get my truck sold. Im thinking either a EP Hatch or a 06-up LX-EX Coupe. They are roughly the same price used, my thoughts are buy newer but then I look at the EP and it's got more (nicer) options and more power out of the box. After I buy the said car I plan to off the 95 Accord as well and buy mods, plus I can use my Sparco 4X114.3 And 5X114.3 universal pattern wheels on the new said car. I have looked at a lot of cars and I just keep coming back to the Honda's because of the reliability. The only thing I have heard of on the EP's is the 2nd gear syncro problems. I had a friend that had problems with his and traded it on a 350z it would always grind into 2nd and Honda wouldn't warranty it because they said he was too hard on it. Anybody care to enlighten me on the pros and cons in this situation?

It's a great car. I love driving it. Slow but it's faster than the LX would be. I love the body style but most hate it. I have no synchro grinds (61k). My only problem is steering rack creak but it's harmless.

Im not really worried about fast, I drive a 95 Accord LX and have a bagged mini truck for shows. I want a nicer car to drive everyday and do all bolt ons with some nice style as well. Im sick of driving my beat Accord and want 1 nice car to drive everyday. I love the EP's although most hate them.

I had a 96 Accord and bought my EP. No regrets for sure. There's no other FF Honda I'd rather have.

In your situation, it's hard to pick between those cars because one is sportier than the other. I guess you would have to look at each up close and see which ride/interior/etc you like more.

Yeah thats the thing, I like the 06-up exterior but the interior not so much, I like the EP3 all around pretty much, problem is I want white and I have not found many white ones around for sale.

The fact that most people don't "get" the EP is the main reason I love it...never was a fan of "sporty coupes", too much of a sacrifice just to look sporty like everyone else...what's the point? The EP gets the job done with it's own unique style and sportiness where it counts... Ok, I'm done now...
Oh yeah, I'm sure you already knew this, but the EP has a lot more aftermarket support/potential than a 06-up EX coupe.

95CDSedan man, go with the EP3!

i wish i had my camera with me today- i pulled into the dealership for a quick lube and oil change-
another Blue '04 Si had just pulled in before- both just getting the oil change.

the 04 had no mods- and looked great! ...my 02 looked slammed and clean!
the looks we got from the others were good to see!

i dont think i'd get those looks if i had the "Common Coupe"
yeah, that sounds too much like the "Common Cold"

EP3 FTMFW!

if ur choices are between the EP3 or the FG SI. i might go with the FG SI but comparing the EP with the LX or EX FG is a no brainer. i just got my car 3 weeks ago and i cant get enough of my EP3 and its still bone freaking stock. good luck on choosing.

My vote is definatly for the EP3. I have slowly fallen in love with those cars from checking this fourm! I think they can be peppy fun cars and the guys on here have no problem making them look sick! EP3 gets my vote all day! Good luck with the decision.

P.S. Sorry for bumping the old thread just wanted my .02 in!

Ep3 looks like a minivan till you buy some ctr exterior peices. Then it starts to look sexy. The newer civic coupes look like *** to me. Remind me of a newer version acura 2 door old school cl junt.
