Default Anyone have a spare S200 that could be loaned for testing my car? Will pay shipping both ways!

It is a long story....
Trying to find out if there is something wrong with the R's wiring or if it is simply my Hondata hardware.

It boils down to me needing an S200 to test with my car. Mine won't connect to the ecu while my S100 works perfectly.

I sent it in to Hondata and they tested it and claimed that it is functioning correctly.
I just get a flashing LED no matter what ecu I have it plugged into on my car.

I am not picky about which S200 I need to borrow. It does not matter if it has any of the options or not. I just need to see if it connects correctly (solid LED) or if it fails to connect to the ecu (flashing LED).

I will pay for shipping both ways. There just isn't anyone around me that runs Hondata to my knowledge.

When I first read the topic title, I thought it said S"2000"

I was like, man, this guy doesn't want to borrow much. LOL.

Oh man... all joking aside, would an S300 work for what you are trying to do?

I sold my S200b last week, otherwise I'd be more than willing to lend a hand.

Well, an S300 would definately help narrow things down.
I used to have an S300 on this car, but removed and sold it not too long ago
The S300 worked fine at the time.

So, yea, if you are willing to let me borrow the S300 (and ecu since I don't have an ecu chipped for an S300), I could definately give that a shot to see what kind of feedback I get.

I have been trying to diagnose this thing for 3 week

All was well until that dipsh-t shorted the battery terminals. You should have him pay for diagnosing/repair at a dealership, IMO. But my opinion doesn't matter so why am I repling in this thread?

Now that is really disturbing to me. It isn't like they cater to Mazda and etc.... they should be more helpful to the Honda community.

dude, the same thing happened to me. I was having a hell of a time at the shop I worked at to get the S300 working originally. All instructions were followed to a T, and when we still couldn't get it to work, the consensus was to send the ECU to Hondata. (of course for more money)

what ended up being our problem? At no point does it say that you have to modify the basemap of the ECU you are using, and upload that one. They make it seem that you can just upload any of the basemaps. (IE - upload a P30 map to the P28) but NO. You have to change a P28 map to match the P30 first, then upload the modified P28 map.

maybe that should have been common sense? But we are an authorized dealer for the AEM EMS, and we were trying to work on some Hondata placement, and I used my car for a test bed. They just could have been more help, that is all I'm saying. We ended up getting the info from another dealer, who had suffered through the same issue.
