Default 87 accord - have a few questions

hey guys (and gals). a friend of mine just bought a 87 accord lx, and has a few questions. i own a 91 and dont know much about the older models, so i told him that i would post here and try to get some info about his new ride. i know its has the A20A1 (2.0, sohc, carb) and a 5 speed stick. i havent seen the car myself, so im sorry if some of these questions seem obvious.

1. the car is missing the air cleaner assembly. advance auto doesnt carry them, so he is going to call some junk yards. i know that carbed accords from 86-89 have the right air cleaner assembly, but we were wondering if there are any other honda models that have a compatible air cleaner? if not directly compatible, will any others work with a little modification?

2. the headlights are stuck in the up position. is this common? is there a common fix for the problem? how much should it cost to fix?

3. is the bolt pattern small or large 4 lug? he said that right now it has 13" wheels on it, and thats what it calls for on the build sticker in the door. my 91 calls for 14's, and has the large pattern. are they the same, or do the older ones us the smaller pattern?

4. are there any easy engine swaps for these models? if not easy, what will fit?

i think that's it. thanks for reading and answering!

I have a 86 lxi that i have asked about a engine swap on.It sounds like the JDM b20 is the only option available. But you have to have special motor mounts that are no longer available.I would guess that a ecu swap would have to be made also.
On the head lights either both the relays are bad,the switch on the stalk or both motors. You can test the motors by running 12 volts to the blue wire and the motor will run.It is a pain to get to the motors, especialy the one under the battery box.
The relays are hidden at the left side of the radiator,as you face the front of the car. They are held in place with one bolt, they sit back to back.I would replace one relay and see if that works, and then replace the other if it works.Have fun I sure did.LOL
