thanks guys!
thanks guys!
hockey tape or electrical tape. just wrap it around a couple of times at the height you want it at, then slide/jam the boot overtop of it

Yea just take the console off and do it..so you can just place the boot on top of it
is there a way for me to place the nut that screws under the **** under the boot?

I took electrical tape and wrapped it around the shifter a bunch of times to get it thick enough to hold the boot up. It's been this way for years, so I reccomend it.

do i need to remove the console or shift **** to do this or can i work with it without taking any of them off?
I threaded an upside down hex nut down on the shifter, slipped the boot over and then threaded on my shift ****.
i just let mine go where ever it wanted.. lol didnt really care.. but you can use electrical tape, washers, etc. but you have to remove the consol then install what you want to use then re install the consol..
thats not a bad idea. any of you guys know how the EK9 and DC2 have the shift boot stay up?
those little plastic tabs inside the shift boot are 'supposed to', but they dont always work
i have a skunk2 dual bend short shifter and a skunk2 shift **** but my shift **** only screws in like half way. it sits loose til i tighten the nut underneath it. i still have a lot of thread left to screw in but it wont. is this common for skunk2 ***** or is it the shifter?

go to the acura dealership and get there peice that goes with the aspec shift **** i have it on my rsx and it holds it to about a 1/2 from the **** iono if you want it higher or not
i just wanna know whether there is something wrong or if the skunk2 shifter was designed for ***** to not screw in too much. it doesn't even screw in half way, ijust tried again and it barely screws in. it hangs loose until i tighten it with the nut. i think it is designed like that...dunno if i am feelin that too much...
