Default new tach

might b a stupid question...
i have an aftermarket tach in the car right now...i just ordered a new one offline an i was wondering if i would be able to jus cut the wires from the new one leaving like 6 inches of wire an cut the old tach off of its wires n just connect the new wires to the old tachs wires..i really wuld rather do that then go all the way through the process of wiring a tach again

compare the two wiring diagrams. if there the same then yes you can just splice the new one into the old wires.

it used to be pretty common for manuals not to have tachs but it is rather suprising on an 05. a shift light would work nicely as well.

i decided to go with defi.. i personally dont like the big 5 inch tachs but thats just my preference..i wanted the small one that fits into the gauge pod...and i checked the wiring...the sunpro tach has red, blak, white, green wires. whereas the new tach has red,black,yellow,green..should this still be ok?
