wassup honda-tech,

i need some help, when i start my car in the morning or when my car is cold it makes a weird *cluck* noise. it only makes th noise when the car is cold and when the car gets warm the noise goes away. the noise comes from around the alternator area. ive asked a few people and they have told me its either the alternator or the water pump but i dont want to spend money on the wrong thing. can somebody help me out?
