Well I finally joined the ITR ranks yesterday, bought a CW 98 Type R off of a member here. It's #98-1199, which if I read the production #s thread right was the last 98 ITR produced. I've been wanting an ITR ever since Sport Compact Car did their ITR vs. Project GS-R back in 1997 or so, FINALLY GOT ONE! It's not my first B-series, I had a 91 EF Si hatch w/B16A a few years back, and I've got a project 92 GS-R in my garage in pieces. Anyway, thought I'd introduce myself. Any Arizona ITR meets coming up?

 

Welcome sir. Hope you continue taking car of the R like the previous owners did. Post some pictures when you get a chance. Just for your FYI, just bcause the ITR # was 1199, it dosn't mean it was the last one made.

 

I know the badge # doesn't mean anything, but I ran the VIN down through this thread here and it looks like it might be. Either wway, it's still a CW ITR

 

Already searching and doing your own homework. Your off to better start than most You'll fit in nicely

I paid 16 for it, which with the mods it had and the recent work was worth it IMO. I'm very aware of the theft situation (I'm a cop), but it gets parked in one of two places: The garage (locked up) or at the station (secure yard surrounded by cops). It'll be interesting to see if anyone tries though....

nice r man, i seen it for sale on azht for a while. Be careful man i had someone try to jack my r at a qt while i got gas the first day i got it and i was even in a nice part of mesa. If u want to go to the r meet hit me up im down for the ride if u are.(thats if its done)
