will the "JDM" bumper support work to hold an 88-89 usdm CRX bumper(w/ an si lip, if that matters) on my usdm '88 CRX DX? also do you know the exact weight of the JDM peice? i am a machinist by profession and a metal trader by hobby so i was considering fabbing up aluminum supports, if its worth the effort. JDM front and rear or just front? sorry if im being a noob with too many questions.
I'll go take a look at it tomorrow, but I'm going to say as of now that the JDM support will hold up the US front bumper. Also it weighs under 4lbs.

I would throw down some money for one if you really did it (maybe 2 pairs)

why not stop trying to remove weight from important areas of your car and either make more power or put your focus elsewhere? No need to remove a safety feature from your car for a few pounds.

once i can pick up a decent civic/CRX for a daily driver i'll be able to dig into my CRX more. then i'll see about fabbing up supports. i'll let you know when i get around to that.

this car is not going to be a daily driver and i just want to lose as much weight out of the car as possible(except the interior). it might take me forever to pay for it all but i'm planning on ALOT of carbon fiber.
