'96 accord lx *power windows*
Ok. So today I decide to open my windows because it was a nice day out. Window would not go back up. I've had this problem before. The weird part is the window would go down, but it always had problems going back up.
I rolled it down today a bit and checked to see if it would go up and it worked. I left it down and it wouldn't go up anymore, but it kept going down.
Now it's all the way down and I can't get it up. Could this be my motor or not?
If not what else could it be?? master switch??
Thanks for all the help.

Hmm.. From my experience, that generation Accord tend to have problems with the master window switch on the driver's door panel. As far as the motor goes, umm.. If the window moves up/down, the motor is working properly.. The switch just reverses the power to it and causes it to go up/down..
Easiest way for me to diagnose it these days it to take out my spare driver's master window switch and plug it in. Don't take me the wrong way, I've just collected enough switches to where I given up on diagnosing the problem because 9 out of 10 times, it's the switch.. And I've plenty of them to prove. Some of my switches makes the driver's window go up, some go down. Likewise for the other switches. Hence you see why I just plug in the switch now instead of tearing out the door panel and probing the harness like I'm suppose to..
But yeah, when in doubt, find someone who's got an Accord like yours and just swap the driver's window switch. It only take 2 minutes..
But if you want, get that trusty volt meter out and check for power and ground at the motor and see if it switches polarity when you toggle the switch back and forth.. Then just find a way to jump power and ground to the motor, if the motor works, the motor works and it's probably your switch.. I usually just check continuity through the motor and find it open and replace it if needed.
Good Luck..

Do you kno where I can find a switch for cheap. I've heard they're pretty expensive. I don't think it's the motor either. I checked it this morning just trying to roll it back up again. Seems like it could not be the motor.
Another note: How do you take the switch out without taking the panels off? My switches didnt want to come out unless i took the panel off.
-Thanks

I would say to find the nearest salvage yard and pick one up there.that's what I did when I has problems with my windows.Of course that didn't solve my particular problem that I had but that would be your best bet.
*ALSO*
check to make sure the tension cables didnt give out, the window regulator works via tension cable, just like a handle brake cable on a bike. very common problem with 5th accords. i too went through the same problem...
