Default what ratings are considered stiff?

im looking into buying omnipower street coilovers.
Front 10kg/mm spring rate (560 Lbs/inch)
Rear 8kg/mm spring rate (448 Lbs/inch)

stock integra is 212lbs/inch front and 117lbs/inch in the rear. the omni suspension is twice that of the oem. is it going to be that harsh?

Just looking at the rates, we can tell it will be much harsher than stock. Factor in the effect of damping as well. Ride quality is subjective, but I never suggest any rates over 10k/8k for a car that is street driven and rarely tracked, it just ets too uncomfortable. This is based on feedback from others as well.

thank you

do you know the ratings the oem suspension is for integra in terms of kg/mm?

what is a reasonable kg/mm front and rear rating for dd?

It really depends on the valving of the damper as well. I run 14k in the front, and it's not stiff at all.

I used to have GC's with 380 lb/in front and 450 lb/in rear springs, and I thought it was EXTREMELY harsh on my 100+ mile daily commute.

U probably ran with koni shocks, if so that's why, they're valved quite aggresively in terms of compression. The PICS however are not valved that aggresive b/c you want the fronts to be softer and the rear stiffer for track use. Hence why I'm running 14k fronts with the PICS and not feeling the harshness. However, if I paired 14k springs with koni shocks... I can only imagine how harsh the front would be. On the contrary, I think the konis are great street dampers for really low cars b/c they don't allow the front much downward movement thus eliminating incidents such as the a-arms hitting the strut tower and such.
