How do you repair a C-West Body Kit? : Pliable Fiber Reinforced Plastic
I have a C-West body kit on my 95 EG Civic
Last month I was backing up in the staging area at a track and dropped a front wheel into a pothole and caught the underside of my front bumper on the ground.
This resulted in a crack in the wheel well area on the drivers side.
The kit is made from a Pliable Fiber Reinforced Plastic. Props to the kit tho lol.. It also magled the hell out of my front fender before it cracked!!
Can anyone tell me what material I should be using as a filler?? And where can I buy some?
Cheers

If u are referring to urethane material, they make patch kits you can buy to attach to the back of the bumper. U then fill the crack in the front with a sandable plastic repair. It comes in a 3M tube.
I'm not sure exactly what it is.
It's like fiberglass but with a flexible plastic resin rather than regular fiberglass resin.
Maybe I should e-mail C-west and see what they reccomend >.<... Communication with them is hard tho, as they are based in Japan >.<

you can also use "problem plastic" its made by SEMS and is a very good product to repair plastics and urathane bumpers, same deal as the 3m product, they also have the webbing or patch kit as well, all it really is is sheet rock tape, lol you know that perferated white tape, but SEMS makes it by the roll 2" wide or 3" it works well and it semi sticky to get it to adhease or stay a little better to the surface being repaired.
I contacted C-West about this and they reccomended a product called FRP.
Some sort of fiber reinforced plastic filler, simmilar to long strand fiberglass filler but with a flexible plastic resin.
I guess this product would be available at an auto body supplies shop or something to that degree.
Does anyone have any product names or manufacturures for this??
