Default O2 sensor failure = engine light

I just switched my catalytic converter to high performance catalytic and now the engine light is on..its due to oxygen sensor..is there a type of oxygen sensor for high performance catalytic converters cuz i dont think my stock o2 sensor isnt reading the new cat converter??

What DTC (code #) are you getting exactly with your engine light on?
Did you reset your ecu after the install?
Is this a real cat with an actual catalyst inside it or a test pipe?

i have the # at the shop but it said "O2 sensor failure - catalytic converter"
Direct bolt on to the factory exhaust or after market..it looks like straight pipe catalytic converter with O2 sensor bolt..

Try reseting your ecu then take it for a drive. If that doesn't work your going to have to find an O2 simulator. The strait pipe that you put on does not have the catalyst in it to reduce the emissions. Therefore causing the secondary 02 to read higher than expected levels of O2. This is what is probably causing your catalytic failure code.
