Default Ef8 Sir rear bumber

Is there any difference (visually) with the ef8 rear bumber and the usdm 91 CRX Si Rear bumpers? I know the bumper supports are lighter in the ef8. I searched but could not find the answer im looking for.

I looked at a picture of the EF8 front bumper and I did not see the strip in the middle of the molding.

Nope there's no visual difference at all. A lot of the jdm parts suppliers say that the jdm bumpers have what appears to be a lip molded into the bumper but the fact is all 90-91 crx's regardless of what model it is also have this. I know because I had a usdm rear bumper and bought the sir bumper. No difference

They are a lot lighter as you stated before. But maybe the added weight would benefit a car such as the crx. Seeing as how the weight is biased to the front of the car. The only reason I bought one is because my stock bumper had paint issues and I had credit at a jdm importer. Plus I was lazy lol. The jdm one probably won't provide any kind of protection if you got rear ended. Some things to think about I guess

Yeah thats wut I thought. Im collecting parts for my Rex Sir build but found it pointless to buy that bumper when mines in good condition. I know its less weight but I'll pass on spending money towards that. Thankz
