A couple questions, with pics.
Does anyone know where the vacuum line goes from the top of the charcoal canister? There is a circular thing with a nipple, but no vacuum line. Also, what is the thing on top of the intake manifold with the black plug on top of it? It looks like there was a spot for a vacuum line on it, but it has been broken off. Is that where the charcoal line is supposed to go? I put electrical tape over the hole and now I am getting 22 psi vacuum, when before I was getting 18. I guess that is O.K, but now when I boost I hit a little more than I used to. Anyone know why? Here is a pic of the charcoal canister, the manifold, and one with both.
Thanks in advance for any help.

the nipple connects to a vacuum line to the solenoid right above your throttle body (which looksl ike it's broken)...
this is for emissions purposes. the solenoid is a purge cut solenoid. it releases the fuel vapors in your fuel tank into your engine.
basically sucks out any vapors in your fuel tank.
you really don't have to connect this up, just leave the charcoal canister opened to atmosphere...
just as long as all the solenoids are electronically connected, you wont' see a CEL...
you'll pass emissions too, unless they check for fuel tank pressures... which i doubt.

It is OBD1. It is a 94 B18C1. I'm not throwing a code, and I really don't care if the EVAP is hooked up. I just don't know what I should do with the hole in the pruge solenoid where the EVAP used to hook up. I guess I'll just leave the tape over it.
