how to mod crx parking lights
i seen a couple pics on some crx's where the corner lenses and turn signals below the headlight are always on when the parking lights are on. how did they do this?! my crx stock will only light up the corner lenses and the signals only on when signaled
anyone know how to do this? i tried just splicing the power from the corner lenses to the signals but it just turned both off. well if anyone could help it be much appreciated!

you should stop cutting and splicing blindly into your wire harness. that's an easy way to start a fire.
well it wasnt just total impulse to tap into the corner lenses!
i tested the voltage that ran across the corner lenses *12v* and through the signals *12v* so i thought it was logical. but i guess why they shut off is the amperage consumption? those signal lights are like 3 times bigger than those wedge bulbs in the corner lenses. . .

When you run a certain amperage from one to two sources, it splits in half. I think the easy way to fix this is install a relay? Correct me if im wrong, but you need to get the correct power going to each light so you dont toast one set, or keep another dim, which will eventuallhy toast those.

HHmmmmm...i had two bulbs in the bumper lens. one for blinking and one for running on with parking lights turn on. (took the wire from the corner that i did not use because i had a single bulb lens). had them like that for about a year, seem find to me. nothing blew, nothing dim.
yea....i did it. i admit it hahaha

good lesson to learn, dont be a hack!
you can wire it up any way you like, but one way to do this which requires no cutting or splicing, is to make a harness to split the wire from the corner light (which leads to the bumper light)and an extention to connect to the corner light.
so using a female connector to connect into the wire( the one that is going to the bumber light, i forget which one) at the corner light plug, tee off ( or make a y) so that one part goes to the bumper (with a inline fuse for safety, then solder it to the new socket)and one goes to the corner(with a male connector to plug in to the corner socket. and then make another short extention with a male and female ends, this is to plug into the corner light, one end to the socket and one end to the plug.
so now the corner light is still working and you have the extra wire for the new socket, and make sure to put a fuse on this new wire!

You'll are thinking to much into it. Switch the socket for the one that comes in the rear brake lights, and then run an extra wire from the corner light to that socket. Only one extra wire to run on each side.

ya that explanation is too much, a picture would be better, i was just trying to explain how to make the connections without cutting or splicing using connectors.
its the same setup you just explained.

thanks for all the replies guys, im gonna go take some housings from older cars now
peoples mods lookin good! i did a simple rig for now *housings for the small bulb in the corner lenses in the bumper lights* but its just not bright enough for day, not that i want people to see my parking lights on during the day, but to see me signal!
i think what ill do is the 3 lights in the bumper mod cause it sounds pretty bright. ill soon post of pic/vids of mod, i hope everyone whos gonna try it to find it successful!

heres a vid of my recent mod on the bumper lights, i just used housing for brake lamps *the one with 2 filaments in the bulb and 3 wires from the housing* quick and easy.
