--HOW fast would a STOCK ~95 Prelude Vtec GO if is were REAR WHEEL DRIVE, and weighed just UNDER 1900 POUNDS with 8.5 inch tires???
--The reason i ask this is because I have a good chance into making this reality (otherwise, i wouldnt ask - just dream.) -and of course im gonna build the motor, but after just buying it leaves a pretty big hole in your pocket - if you know what i mean... --but just give me a GOOD GUESS...

#1. you have to do it now that you've talked the **** about it.
#2. Yes, I do know it can be done. I even know how, but I'm not sharing my tips.
#3. with slicks you should pull 1.70's 60ft times. So, not a whole whole lot faster on a stock motor. Build it, and run 1.40's in the 60's and you should knock off at least .2 on the end time.

 

Hell, if they could do it w/ a Tib, why not a 2-engine, AWD, 4WS 95 Prelude VTEC????

Isn't that a little bit of an oxymoron? That's hardly a stock Prelude. If you intend on making an H22 powered go-kart . . . . given the above specs I'd guesstimate a low 12 second quarter mile. And why such narrow tires? That's only a 215mm width.

 

Yep that's high 12s to mid 13s.

not on a stock motor. it won't be any faster. if anything, because of the extra work you'd have to do and the weight it added, it might be the same speed.

only when you highly mod it will you find that RWD has its advantages.

 

Mahdavi Motorsports threw an NSX engine in a CRX and ran mid 11's on drag radials. Keep in mind this is a STOCK NSX motor.

With the proper mods, you can pull some pretty wicked numbers.

But be prepared to drop a few buckets of cash in the project.

 

yea but that ****** is GUTTED to hell and back.... plus the crx is WAY lighter then the prelude to begin with.

--Wider tires means i need a wider pocket! -Although wider is better -but 215mm is only 7.5 inchs, 8.5 is 225 or 235mm.

In his first post, he said the chassis will be around 1900lbs. 200hp+1900lbs = mid 12's easily, esp with RWD.
