Default Tranny Trouble...Please help!

Ok guys here goes,
I have a 1994 Honda Accord LX with and automatic tranny. This afternoon while driving down the turnpike at about 70+mph, my car suddenly began to act as if it was in neutral (only it was still in drive). My car started to decelerate and my rpm's climbed as i pushed down on the gas pedal...so, I pulled over, restarted the car and everything appeared to be fine (the car accelerated like normal and ran normally). However, after work tonight, I went to drive the car again, and it did the same thing...now the speedometer is reading 0 and i cant seem to get the car out of first gear while driving...Does this sound mechanical or computer/electrical? Any ideas/help would be appreciated! Thanks!

The D4 light was/is flashing...it actually has been for some time now...(I actually bridged the plug under the dash awhile back and got the code, but when i called Honda with the code they told me that the tranny goes into a "backup mode" where it is safe to drive and shouldn't break...they also said they had no idea what that code meant without starting to replace parts..which i really didn't have the money for at the time)...hope that helps...thanks

Alrighty, I went out to the car and got the code. It's giving me a "9". A DIY code retrieval web page says this...

9 - CYP Sensor (Cylinder) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
* invalid code for throttle body injection Hondas
** invalid code for V6 engines

I honestly have no idea what this means. Also, I don't really know if my car has throttle body injection, so i don't know if it means that the code is invalid. Any ideas?

Update, it was the D4 light flashing "9", not the CEL. So the code above is irrelevant. Anyone know where to find transmission codes? Thanks in advance!

My 93 EX has a flashing D4. The check engine light comes on but the only ECU code is coolant temperature which WAS a problem long since fixed. PS, how do you reset error codes. Anyways, I've heard the problem might be the solenoids. But Im taking teh car in to a repair shop for diagnostics, I'll post later with teh prognosis. My car still drives though,
