skunks in my opinion are stiffer, but its weird because it is also just a little soft for being a coil-over. I have the full coilovers, and i think that they are a good ride.. just due to the fact i need to re-install them, because i failed to use the instructions the first time around, but they do feel great in take off, or handling espicially

Im glad you made this thread.

Im debating between the two for my race car. ONly sees the track.

Skunk Pro S or Omni's.

Then Skunk Pro C's are little out of my budget. I could use the extra money to get my sway bars.

if your going for race id recommend skunk2, omni is a good setup, but i would only get those if you were daily and/or want to be really dumped. Even though skunk2 and omni are pretty much the same, since omni broke off on its own from skunk its quality went down. Plus the pro series are just as much as the omni street/sports.

so your sayin the skunk 2s are better qualty since omni left or worse? and i plan to do occasional track use more like road race not drag race juss want something that rides well all around slammed and then takin to the track and put to a more performance oriented height keep the info coming...new ? tho would the f&f even be a factor in this decision?

The issues were back in early 2005, with their very first set of coilovers. Thats to be expected. The problem was the shock collar was not thick enough and would snap. The next gen have nothing wrong with them. Ive had mine for 2 years and running strong. You should see how much abuse i do to them. (canyon, autoX,track, daily spirited driving...)

do you have factual information to back this up such as material comparisons or performance comparisons?

Our coilover "quality" is back up with records not misleading magazine adds and propaganda.

- eggum racing current hot rod ET and MPH record holder on omnipower susp (only 7 sec honda on the planet)
-tony 1 fastest SFWD and only car in the 9.20s on omnipower susp
-Loan nugyen SS record holder on omnipower susp
-Saul seceda 9.38 All motor on omnipower Susp. 1.33 60 foots.
to name a few

The choice is really simple you can base your purchase on proven results or "swigs opinion"

you can't really say this without owning their old suspension and having the new one,

I personally have never used omni.

my friends hatch hes on here, had the old ones and new ones. I had to drive his hatch a few times, and they popped alot. He was somewhat dumped, and it was his DD. Everytime you would turn or accel it would constantly pop, not like a small rock or something but it was very loud and noticable.
