exhaust question

Default exhaust question

i am having a pipe custom made from the header to the muffler. i dont know what muffler to get. i want a deep import tone but no raspy riceburner sound. any ideas?

go 2.5" piping if you can get the header modded to 2.5. If other pipes are being custom bent than the header mod should be done. Add a resonator, and than look for a canister style muffler (ie. one made by vibrant (axle back) sounds pretty good. For a cat, go high flow like magnaflow or similar. They have universal fitting cat's for various sizes at relatively cheap prices.

I hear without the resonator it will sound raspy. I'm not 100% sure but thats what i've heard like I said.

I personally have a dc-s header, 2.5" mod, to a Rudy Held bought cat, to a resonator, than to a vibrant axle back canister style and it sounds really nice even with silencer in. With it out it sounds like a 5 litre mustang. Gotta hit those topics that have sound clips for specific exhaust setups

get a resinator, like magnaflow 12" with 2.5 piping
