hey ht im looking into buying some cams for my b16a.my question is what are the best cams out there?

or some buddy clubs

 

If you're running NA the itr or ctr's. For FI imo get some mazworx's. They're nice.

you might want to check out the forced induction forum and ALOT of reading but first, figure out what exactly you want out of your motor, goals, etc.

what does that have to do with anything? just cause i just joined means what? that i dont know anything? theres a world outside of your little honda-tech internet you know. you're giving advice to someone that hasn't specified his setup nor what he wants to do with his car. cams are the last thing he should choose when building a motor, they're what MAKES the motor. but you sit there saying ladee daa, ITR is the BEST cam EVER! im actually posing a good point but instead of you backing your statement, you try to bring my english up. thats pretty typical especially from someone who gives bad advice cause they dont know what they're talking about. we call this, changing the subject.

by the way, its not a contradiction, i said cams are the last thing when building the motor not when he's done building the motor. its like icing on the cake, ever heard of that expression? you can just throw in cams and be done with it sure but no guarantee's you'll get good numbers. aren't good numbers what its all about? you gotta worry about valve to piston clearance, compression, supporting mods, tuning, etc. does that make more sense to you now? or are you gonna bring up how i shorten "going to" to "gonna"?

hoo my gosh: I agree that a statement should be backed up with an explanation, but you're not even following your own advice. "lol @ the responses " doesn't help at all. Firstly, how about explaining why cams should be the last part of a build? As you stated, cam selection is a key component in the power production and behavior of the engine. I could see arguments for them being one of the first or one of the last parts of a build.

nix94delsol: Post count doesn't mean ****. What if Bisi created a new account and posted something you might not agree with. Would you still say "STFU n00b"? Furthermore, his English is fine. It's not perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than a lot of the posts I see on forums. However, in your defense, I probably would have replied to "lol @ the responses " with something obnoxious, too...

drewb16a: Any response to "What are the best cams" will be subjective, as you're probably figuring out. Describe your plans for the car and your budget, and you will get more useful answers.
