Default Pictures and a Video of my y7 to y8 conversion...need feedback!

Here are some pics of my y8 manifold on my y7...How do I eliminate the setup that my y7 intake had in this first pic...in other words...what vacuum goes where? Please help me get these vacuum's in the right place. thanks!

What vacuum goes on this empty spot on the throttle body?

And a short video of my car's messed up idle...When I relocate the wire on the ecu and remove the orange one will this get better?

on the throttle body, is that not for a coolant line?

your engine bay scares me.
do you just have some loose hoses thrown in there for effect?

there are no loose hoses..there are just loose ports on the manifold that I have no idea where the vacuum lines go.

I can’t believe how many botched Y8 manifold swaps I see on this site. Holy **** you have a vacuum line directly connected to the valve cover PCV breather, and I wouldn’t be suppressed if you have a coolant line running directly into the purge solenoid. You get a double from me.

Get yourself a helms manual ASAP, you need help.

i had little problems with my y8 IM swap but damn son, you need to find a bunch of write up's on d-series.org, turbo d16, here, hell check google(y8 intake manifold swap on a d16) and read alot.

the TB has a coolent line going to it i know for a fact. and the hose at the top or you manfold that you have going to the valve cover is not right, cant remember how it goes or if that nipple on the top of the IM is for coolent, but the one on the valve cover is deff for breather(hook it up to your intake or put a little mini filter on it)

at most probably 2whp to the wheels, what you want is a y8 tranny that will benfit probably like 5x more than the mini me swap litteraly.

sweet jesus that's a mess. the ports on the bottom of the TB are for coolant, but just go ahead do a TB coolant bypass to make life easier. also what year car did the y8 manifold come off of? if it was a 99-00 the mani has air injection holes on the mani flange that need to be sealed up. go check out d-series.org, they got tons of info on it and really helped me when i did it...

i have never even owned a sohc honda engine...only h22's and those old junk b20's(prelude)..i know my h22 is awesome especially in my hatch....

Why do people put a y8 mainifold on a y7? you still have no vtec, correct? a y7 is a non vtec motor i assume. I know this is a silly ? but whats the big deal? i see so many threads referring to this same swap. I am just not very educated on the sohc/ sohc vtec honda engines.

just for more powa!

the y8 manifold is the ITR manifold of SOHC.

so you ll get a lil boost in hp a cheap effective way. Good for FI later too.

Did u use the Y8 or y7 IACV? y7 is 3 wire and y8 is 2.

on the driver side lower back of the IM you might find a little open nipple, you can plug that up .its used for cruse control. and DX dont have that of course =P

There is no reason to do the 3 to 2 wire conversion if your using the y7 ECU

WHAAAAT? I read on other sites that it must be done? So I have to connect the orange wire to the IACV plug I had already eliminated?

what's wrong about the valve cover hardline connecting to the top port of the manifold? the red line I believe is connecting to the front lower port and connects to the rear of the manifold. where should it be connected?
