My 89 si HB has been having some problems which i think i have finally found. I first thought it might be ball joints but after replacing the problem still exists.

The problem is when i am driving no matter what bump or anything i hit my car tries to pull that way and makes one hell of a loud clunk. Later i found out that I can actually turn my wheels left to right by hand even when the car is not suspended or on a jack so does this sound like a busted steering rack. my si has manual steering.

 

What suspension do you have on it?

 

Just stock Si suspension W/o Power steering i believe
