FS: 1997 Acura Integra Type R (Indiana)
For Sale: 1997 Acura Integra Type R
• Production number unknown. Bought car with JDM plaque on armrest
• The vehicle holds a salvage title (in hand) and was professionally rebuilt and was certified by the state of Florida.
• The vehicle has 141,XXX miles and has the stock original motor and tranny
Exterior:
• When I bought the car, it had 98+ front and rear conversion
• Over the winter, I completely returned it to its original stock 1997 form besides the fact that it has a 98+ rear bumper with OEM rear valences
• The front bumper was bought new from my local Honda dealer except the lip. The lip is an OEM replica.
• The previous owner installed an aftermarket sunroof. This sunroof works just like new and was professionally installed. No leaks or flaws in the install.
• The car has Falken Azenis RT-615’s on OEM wheels with CW Honda centercaps
• The wheels could use a refinish as they are scratched up, but nothing that is that bad. They never bothered me that much, but they are not perfect BY ANY MEANS
• The car received a brand new coat of CW paint exactly one year ago. Reason for paint was there was a couple small door dings in her and I had the new front bumper and everything on it and just wanted some fresh new paint
Motor/Suspension:
• The car has the original B18C5 with 141,XXX miles on it
• The car runs fine and burns a little oil. It could use some new rings just to refresh the engine as it is 141,XXX miles old.
• Has a painted JDM B16 valve cover that I got for free and just painted that rather than buying a wrinkle red finish JDM one.
• J’s Racing Carbon Fiber intake (for abs model ITR’s)
• This 97 came with Air Conditioning from the factory which was a dealer option
• The car has an aftermarket heavy duty clutch in the car. I have never opened up the tranny, therefore I don’t know the make of the clutch. The clutch’s throwout bearing is beginning to make the “infamous” whirring noise and could use a replacement.
• The car’s exhaust setup consists of the following:
o Mugen Gymkhana Spec 4-2-1 header (originally off Clayton of King Motorsports ITR)
o JDM ITR cat
o JDM ITR b-pipe
o Spoon N1 axle-back (bought new from AJ-Racing)
• I have the stock OEM exhaust as well (all minus the heat shield)
• The suspension is stock except for Tein S-Tech springs
• The car has Cobalt GT sport front pads and OEM rears
• The rotors are autozone duralast and I have the OEM and receipt for the duralasts so if they crack or warp you can take them in and get a free pair I believe.
Interior:
• The interior is 100% stock except the shift ****. The shift **** was bought from ICB Motorsports and is an original JDM OEM Honda ****
• There is no radio that will be included in the vehicle. It will just be the open double din. (seen in pics)
• As this car was originally a southern car, the rear seats are a little faded to the purplish/blue. There are a few minor imperfections in the seats and on one of the back seats the plastic tabs that you pull up to fold down the seats is bent (looks like something laid on it) and is at an angle. It still works like normal though.
Reason for selling:
I don’t want to sell the car really, but I am in my second year of college and it just doesn’t get driven enough. There has only been a few thousand miles but on in the past year. When I was at school, the R was stored in a nice warn garage under a cover and my father went out and started it every week and let it warm up. I want a car that I am able to daily drive year round and deal with these unpredictable Indiana winters. I am in the market for a nice truck and is something I could get much more use out of here at school and with my job as well as helping the family out at home by towing the boats, jet skis, and various stuff for my dad’s business
Selling price:
I am very negotiable as I want the car sold soon (hopefully within the next week so I am really negotiable). After going through countless ads and comparing to other cars (other ITR’s and EM1’s etc.) I am going to start the selling price at $11,000. I will try to get as many vouches for the car to further prove that I am an honest seller and the car is in the said condition. This car would make an awesome daily driver or even an all out track car. I hope this goes to an awesome owner.
