hey guys i tried searching so if you know of a thread that answers my questions please post it.
i just bought a 91 lx sedan and it has a high idle (1300rpm) when warm. it is also throwing a code 8 for tdc.
i checked the distributor per workshop manual and the distributor is ok. some one told me the timing might be off. i know you can't adjust timing without proper idle.
i have 2 question on idle adjustment and 1 other question
the car runs great with a random hiccup every now and then, usually that hiccup causes the cel to come on.
1. where is the sensor i need to unplug?
i know on other motors it's on the back of the manifold, but this has the downdraft mani
2. where is the idle adjustment screw?
i found the throttle stop screw but can't find the idle adjustment screw
3. unrelated to idle, but what else could cause a tdc code 8? the dizzy is fine.
anyhelp would be greatly appreciated
