Default trick to getting out pcv valve

well guys, in the last week my 96 civic hx has began to idle like a muscle car....cleaned out everything possible other than cleaning/replace my pcv valve....its way down through the intake manifold and i swear I pulled on that damn hose hard enough to pick my motor up off the mounts and I still cant get it loose....I want to know if anyone out there has a trick on how to get that thing the hell out....thanks much

Twist it with some pliers and yank it out.
