Here is the problem guys. My passenger side ballast went out on me on my HID JDM front end. I've had the HARDEST time trying to source the ballast for it. I called passwordjdm.com and they told me i should check the s2k or TSX ballast to see if it might be a direct fit. Can anyone confirm or post pics of their ballasts? thanks so much.

 

s2k ballasts are a lot smaller than the JDM ITR ones, but i'm not sure about the TSX ballast

 

Good luck, I think the ITR ballasts are unique (but I am not 100% sure)

Right/Pass. side ballast 33108-ST7-J01 (You will cringe once you find out how much that costs from Honda)

Either find one used (make sure its from the side you need) or just put the smaller ballast inside the black case.

Have you double checked the fuse under the dash?

X2. The closest thing i've ever seen to an jdm itr one is one from a 99-01 3.2 tl but i don't know about the fitment.

 

How much is it from Honda? Finding it used is just about impossible, I've tried everywhere. I willing to use any of the listed ballast if they plug up to mine and work. I just need some sort of replacement.

Those ballast are the same on both sides.They are interchangable from left to right.The bracket that holds them in place is side specific.I would buy yourself a new set of hella hid ballasts off ebay and change both.If you change one with a new oem one your still left with one that's about 8 years old.That 8 year old ballast might go out tommorrow or the next day.

 

any after market HID ballast should work right?

 

I'd stick with a more reputable setup like Hella or source some used OEM ones like from the tsx, tl, s2k, RL, Mdx, Rdx, etc.
