Default Mugen Si number question

My friend at work picked up a Mugen Si for his wife over the weekend she traded in a 06' TSX and he drives a Mazda Speed 3, the car is just amazing in person and I got the chance to drive it at lunch and it peforms great, handling is just amazing so tight and no roll... 2 Questions, unlike the Type R Integra which has the number stamped on the badge near or on the armrest where do they find out what number they have? and does anyone know the price of the stock Mugen ( I think it may be made by a different co ) suspension that comes on the car? the dealer was running their mouth that is costed around 10K just for suspension alone to sell them the extended warranty; Lucky me gets to park my EM1 beside and see a Mugen Si 3 / 4 times a week at work now... and by the way here in B'ham AL it's possible to get them for sticker price like they did ; Thanks for the help guys!

I am sure the Mugen Si is similar to the ITR... in the respect that the vin # had nothing to do w/ the badge number and vice versa.....

however, there is some correlation, but not 100% concrete.....

Honda has decided to do away with the mugen si being individually numbered. If you look close at the concepts that where on sema 06 and some track demo vehicles you see the placard in front of the shifter to say Mugen si 1/1000 or 2/1000.
Honda changed their mind at the abolute last second before production about the placard. Now all of them only say Mugen si Limited Edition. This is due to the fact that the mugen si is an EXPERIMENT. Honda may release the mugen si for 09 and 2010 year. Depending on the sales Honda will release more special edition vehicles such as the Accord HF-S which debuted at sema 07 a couple of weeks ago. Honda North America is currently attempting to convince Honda Japan that the Civic R would be a good sale here in the states. Japan feels that our market, and I quote, "not ready for R model and would not appeal to the american consumer" . Currently Malaysia is the only other country in the world that markets the new Civic Type R besides Japan. Trust me, Honda North America is aware that this car exists and want it here by all means. Honda North America has been studing the crash test data very thoroughly.( its a start ) The S2000 CR is another test subject hence the no A/C and no Audio opitons, which the civic r is optional with also.

The CR is also a tribute to the original designer's retiring. Not so sure it was meant to be an experimental design or experiment in america, but that could be a factor as well.
