You wouldn't be the first by a longshot.

I'm pretty sure you can do a K24 block w/ a K20 head on it, I don't know much about it, but I'm pretty damn sure it's possible, information like that would be available in the hybrid forum and ESPECIALLY ALL OVER http://www.k20a.org.

Are you prepared to do that?

He probably just heard that term somewhere, and thought "That's imitatable!".

That said, OP, how much money do you have?

Correct me if i'm wrong everyone, but aren't there differences in mounts/locations for mount brackets on the K20Z block?

I remember whn I was seriously considering a K swap that Brian from HASport told me back then that they hadn't developed the K20Z mount kits for the EG. Keep in mind this was a few years ago, so they may have the right parts now.

I say keep it stock. If you have a Civic Type-R in the US, you have something uncommon. Keep it stock.

If you want to swap one of these into a car, look for a USDM Civic CX or DX hatch instead.

You know buddy probably doesn't have a REAL EK9 civic Type R, right?

You're being cleverly sarcastic, aren't you?

1. Please turn caps lock off - that's the internet equivalent of yelling

2. K24A engines are great for passenger cars that need torque down low.

I love my K24A...in my 2005 Element. It's great for lugging around town, but I'd NEVER build a hot rod based upon that engine. The K20Z will make more power and it likes to be revved, and was engineeered to sustain higher revs for longers amounts of time than the K24A.

Definitely use the k24a2!! torque owns u!
We just recently finished a k24a2 turbo build and it eats up k20 turbo swaps by a long shot - any where you shift in the power band you have power - ENJOY!

Okay let me clarify:

Stock vs. stock the K24A is a **** engine for high revving, abusive driving when compared to the K20Z.

I mean sure a K24A block, K20A Type R head, rods, pistons, boost etc. etc. sure the K24a would be gravy...

I hate this topic

I think the OP should post pics of his car, both engines, and the transmission before anyone else replies at all.

Show some proof, and maybe you'll get more help?

K24a2 is the tsx longblock

It is NEARLY identical to a k24a1/3/4/8 with a k20a head but with different rods and pistons

k24a1/3/4/8 ~ 160-170hp
k24a2 ~ 200hp

I don't care if it's a TSX engine - it's a ******* Accord passenger car engine not intended to be high strung and driven like a K20Z is.

Anyways you and I can can continue arguing in this fufkcing retarded topic if we wanted to, but the bottom line is I think the OP is full of ****, and we've all been baited into an e-war for no real reason at all.

TSX= ACCORD?

Have you driven an eg/ek with a K24a2?
Have you driven an eg/ek with a K20?

I have done about ten K swaps, and trust me the k24a2 murders all others stock

HOWEVER, I can agree with you that we need pics of both to prove you are such a baller that you say

Meh, you don't need money to have toys anyway. There are lots of people on this site who have really cool cars and toys and don't make a lot of money.
