CV joints replaced, car still clicks when turning left!
I have a 1991 Accord with 95,000 miles on it. It started to click when turning EITHER direction.
I took it to my repair place, they replaced both CV joints. It STILL clicked when turning left.
When I took it back, they tried to tell me issue was at TRANSAXLE end of joints, that motor mounts needed replaced, that CV joints were good. BS!
Took the car to another mechanic; when he power-torqued it (put car in gear, then put on the brakes), you could feel/hear a definite snap from LH joint.
Original place replaced LH joint under warranty. Car STILL clicks when turning left!
Now what? I don't want to get into an altercation with the original repair shop, but problem still exists!

Try this, put non-rebuilt joints on and pay the difference on the parts only, no labor. These rebuilt joints are junk. If that price is too high then have them get another brand of rebuilts. And dont forget the new warantee.
So what you're saying is that I tell them to use brand NEW CV joints, and pay the difference?
My daughter's 1990 Accord also had CVs replaced, no problem. And I've had other cars w/joints replaced by the same shop, also no problem...

Correct, if the price is not too high for you. Never heard a clicking noise that was not a CV Joint.
Redbuilt ones are junk.
Might depend on where they are from though.
Put a set of rebuilt ones, from Advance Auto on an 89 Mazda, they clicked loader than the ones they replaced.
Do as D-i-J said if you can handle the cash difference.

That was my thought, too! Would I have more 'ammunition' on my side if I take the car to another place for diagnosis, have them put it in writing, then take it to original repair shop?
