Ok i searched already and couldn't find anything on this setup besides ls crank in a Gsr block. My main question is, i have my old head which was tapped for ls vtec, will i be able too use the same head, or do i need to get another head that has not been drilled out?
you can use the same head. just plug the hole where you had your oil line going to and unplug which ever other one was plugged. and if your going to use an LS crank make sure u use LS rods

Thanks guys for the help, i was just talking to one of the guys from g.e.. I could cap off the fitting, but now i was looking at just using the extra oil too in the head. Will that cause a flood in the head? Too much oil, and will it affect oil pressure? And yes i will be using eagle Ls rods and bolts, and im going to cap off the oil squirters in the block, and use weisco pistons. So my next question is, can i use the golden eagle dowel pins or do i need to use the gsr pins? Thanks guys for your help.
You can use the same head. Either unplug it at the bottom where it was taped when it was on a LS block, or run the external line just like you did on the LS block. You would use the STD gsr dowel's since it is a straight forward vtec setup now.

i would not recomend leaving the plug in the bottom of the head, and still using the external oil line..... what is going to happen to the oil in the block that still wants to pass through that port hole? if you do happen to want to use the external oil line( rediculas) then you should plug the head oil feed in the top corner of the block.
personally, i would just drill out whatever you have plugging that hole in the bottom of the head, use the stock oem down pins, put it together and call it a day

Now im a lil bit lost still on the part of the bottom of the head. What part needs to be unpluged? Are you talking about the golden eagle dowel pins i need to take out?
no, not the dowl pins.
put your head upside down on the ground, with the intake side at your feet, if you look at all of the holes where the head bolts/studs pass through the head, on the lower left corner there will be a hole with a plug in it, you just need to remove the plug.

Ok, i looked at the bottom of the head. The little circle that is blocked with a allen key has to come out correct if i wanted to run this on the gsr block then correct? And use gsr dowels and block off the back of the head where the oil was going then too right?
