Default 2002 crv tps sensor ??

I have been having an issue with the tps sensor on my crv for a while now. I have decided I want to fix it before winter hits. The dealer only sells the whole trottlebody assemble and that costs 800 $. I was wondering if there was anywhere I could buy a tps sensor for it online. I checked everywhere but cant seem to find one for a 2002. If not, is there a place to buy a throttle body online for cheaper than the dealer? Lastly I was reading and saw that if you change just the tps then you have to calibrate, how would you callibrate it? Thanks !

Try k20a.org, maybe someone has their factory k24a1 throttle body and tps, it'll be cheaper then 300 i'm sure.

also try ebay or car-part.com, dont go to the dealer.

Since the the tps is not available seperate, the whole throttle body is bad. Go to the dealer and make them replace the throttle body. It is covered under the emisions warranty.

Hmm.. I'm pretty sure we've come across this before.. I don't want to go into the details but.. There's a service bulletin 04-008 that states that it is due to a manufacturing defect. I've done plenty of throttle bodies for warranty after the customer had called Honda about it. Just tell them that you are aware of the issue and that they should eat it because it's not a wear and tear item, just a manufacturing defect. Most of the time you'll get Honda to buy the part and you'll just have to pay the dealer to put it in. Search around here and you might even find the actual bulletin itself. I'd post it myself, but I don't want to get in any type of trouble for it..

And no, it's not covered under any emissions warranty. Just make sure you call Honda of America or Canada, wherever you're from.
