Wheel Bearing question.
Hi, 2nd post here and I thought you guys might know what this is, I dont know that much about cars, but I know when to stop a problem.
I had my studs replaced about 2 months ago, probably because honda likes to use little wussy studs to hold the wheel on.
I noticed it drove a little differently lately, so I put it up on stands and I discover that the Drives side front drive wheel has about a quater inch of play in it.
According to every mechanic Ive talked to, the bearing should be making a assload of noise, but it isnt.
What they all seem to think is that the Axle nut could be lose, and that is causing the play, which also explains why im not getting that " bearing death noise " which is a nice loud droning.
Is there anyway to check for torque besides putting a impact wrench on the thing? ( which I dont have)
