check dis!! my car sat for three months alright.
den started it up not to long ago.ran it around the block pretty hard.
then the next day started it. drove it, and it had no power it would bog out and spit when i gave it throttle and now it would idle at 500 or less..battery is good plugs r good and all dat stuff.did a compression check dats good.....any1 know wassup with my car? its a gsr crx.......need help on dis!!!!!!! got some ideas anyone.

 

You start it up and run it hard with it still cold?

so you started it after 3 months and ran it hard right off the bat?

 

gettin any CEL's? you shouldnt drive a car hard right after its been sittin. Maybe check your distributor.

 

I bet you had vtec screaming at 5k ice cold!!!
Way to damage your motor

 

let me rephrase that
i let it idle for about 30 minutes before driving it
i notice the idle was 500 and below so i took it out
and thats when the problem occurred

I think you ran it so hard that your timing got off track... check your timing...

 

Cant Help you with the prob but it sounds exactly the same as happened to my crx twice after letting it sit for a few months. Both times the prob fixed its self after playing around under the hood for a few hours the first time it happened I even took it to a mechanic and got told it would need a head rebuild, glad I didnt go ahead with it because as long as I dont let it sit it doesnt miss a beat. I also asume a GSR has a B16 mine is D (from Australia we dont have GSRs over here)

 

sounds similar to my distributor problem

 

throw in full tank of fresh gas and injector cleaner then see what happens. Next time you store, ad some Stabil, doesnt hurt. Give this a try and report back. Worked for me when i stored a winter without stabil and had same symptoms.

Edit, try THIS instead of dis. I thought u were talking distributor at first even though its normally dizzy for short. Helps to know EXACTLY what ur talking about.

I was thinking the same thing. Try the gas ans injector cleaner like earlier in the thread that should fix it.

 

Sounds like bad gas syndrome. Get some fresh 94 in that thing.

OP, try to get some gas treatment / injector cleaner in there, condensation is a bitch good luck.
