Default Does this T3 look legit (Garrett)? 50 trim .42/.48 or 45 Trim .42/.63?

The housing does not say Garrett... the seller claim it comes off a Saab 9000 in 85 86

I could not find a Saab T3 turbo that did not have Garrett on the housing. The Volvo turbo that the guy is selling says Garrett... his feedback is excellent.

Is a 50 trim .42/.48 T3 too small for my B16A2 or should I go with a 45 trim .42/.63

Goal: 200 whp or so... enough to pull away from RSX-S with KPro IHE.

If all you want is 200whp then you will be fine with this little turbo. It's got excellent bottom end power due to the turbo size. It dies up top around 5kish but it all depends on what you want.

Have you tried Cheapturbos.com or similiar websites to compare the prices a bit more?

Mine looks exactly similar to yours, except my compressor housing says AiResearch (old garrett) and its from I think an 87 saab 9000. Turbine housing doesnt look like its had smoothing with an angle grinder like yours.

ALTHOUGH mines rusty (normal rust), so I think that might be a ripoff as it looks brand new.

garrett compressor housings are _always_ labeled.

i would ask for a pic of the chra tag. who cares if the housings say garrett? it's the chra that makes the quality.

This is the one in question... they also have the 45 trim compressor but it only flows 21 lbs/min whereas this is 30lbs/min and the 60 trim is 34 lbs/min. Is the super 60 worth 36 lbs/min?

Anyways... the Saab still looks feasible for my application, but is this authentic? Seller says Garrett Guaranteed... ?

Sorry if I missed something you typed but is there any serial tag in the middle ? Also did it just come in that white box ? All the turbo we receive from garrett come in that box, but also come in another brown garrett box with instructions, gaskets.

I didnt buy it yet... not sure if I should since it looks iffy without the Garrett stamped housing.

What you see is what I see as well.

Pay the extra $150 for the real deal. Just to be on the safe side, I mean he is making it seem like a real garrett turbo but there are no pics of the serial tag.
