Do the Non-HID and HID JDM headlights use the same projector lense?
Im in the market for jdm conversion and im wondering if the lenses for the HID and Non-hid are the same. If so, i would just buy the non-hid ones and fit hid bulbs into them. Also what is the color similar like to todays HID cars? (tsx, s2k etc.) Im trying to get an idea if the HID headlights are worth getting or not..
Oh and how distinct is the cut off line. I retro fitted tsx projectors into my usdm headlights and they look very good (color and cutoffline). I just dont want to be dissapointed with the quality light output if i do purchase the jdm hid headlights. Because everyone knows it cost a damn arm and leg for those lights.
Thanks!

No, the halogen lights use different projectors than the HID versions.
OEM HID setups use 4300K capsules.
The cut-off is quite good, but it's obviously designed for RHD use, so it's not ideal for US driving.

no way to shift or modify the lense for usdm driving specs?
worst comes to worst i could do a tsx retro into a non hid head light, just the thought of tearing one apart when they cost so much ha

Not easily, since they use a moulded cut-off shield, but it can be done if you fabricate a bit.

That would give you the best results.
