Quarts of ATF for tranny flush?!
It looks old and it smells a little, but not burnt, but it has been 20k miles so I need to do it, I can feel that it needs it..
So I need 6 quarts for 2 drain and refils then, right? All I do is drain out the old fluid, replace with new, drive around for a bit, then drain and refil again and then I am good to go, right?

You got the procedure. Hard to say whether you'll get away with 5 quarts. Safer to have 6 on hand, but it's easy for me to spend your money....
The 2nd time you drain, watch how clean it comes out & judge for yourself whether you need to do any more drain/fills. You'll also see how much crud is stuck to the magnet of the drain plug.
I had a '98 & did a single drain/fill every 30k miles & it was OK. Not very dusty/dirty where I live & it had a fair amount of highway miles, so I guess mine had an easy life. YMMV.
