Let's say that you have B18c1 with JDM ITR pistons and a stock head gasket, how much can you advance or retard the cam timming without having valve to piston contact with the Skunk2 stage 2 cams and/or the JUN 3 cams.

Also, what kind of cam settings are you guys running with the JUN 3 or S2 stage 2 cams ?

if you arent willing to do that then you shouldnt use those cams

 

claying is the only way of determining the answer to your question. you can't use other people's measurements because all engines are slightly different with aftermarket cams. Adjustable cam gears only compound variability.

 

Anyone, got any recommendation for a Machinists scale and clay when claying the motor. I looked up C-speed Racing article is this enough to learn how to clay your motor.
