96 gsr has a rattle at 3k rpm and up
my friends 96 gsr with 131k miles has a metal contacting metal rattle @ 3000 rpms and up. i did a search and many people said its the header's heat shield, but many people said its not either. so what do you guys think it is?

Just take the header heat shield off and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, then it's likely the heat shield around the cat.

my rattles have been caused from exhaust heat shields or a slightly loose bolt from the cat to the b-pipe.
