Probaly much longer, still waiting on the original special order 16" 5x114 black Time Attacks ordered back in March.

 

I checked into that thread when the option first came up. I was told to expect around 9 months for the wheels to come in. As Jeremy pointed out, there are members who ordered the original Time Attack's they are still waiting for the rims to come in

You never know...I was told that the CE28's were already made and just have to be painted.

 

was it ever determined whether the white is the normal volk white or actual championship white? just wondering...

I've seen it in person at SEMA...it does look "championship whiteish".

I was referring to the white ones that were already made. It depends how bad you really want the rims, to some it's worth the wait.

 

You know, paying 50% down and waiting 9+ months for a set of rims is asking a lot for anyone.

Even if you are comfortable, that's still a small wad of money to have in limbo for that long of a period. And even then there is no 'guaranteed' date--and its that part that bothers me the most.

With other items I've custom ordered (non car related), I will get an ETA. If the item does not hit that ETA, I am told why. With Volk, you aren't told anything because no one knows squat (or they aren't saying).

It's a poor way to do business IMO. If they want to advertise something, make a few copies and send them to north america and see if they will sell. You can't tell me that Volk is *that* thin on cash reserves to not make the gamble on what a dozen sets or so of wheels will cost.

Unfortunaly, that's all true. I agree with you...but I'm sure Mackin knows that they don't need a couple sets to test the waters with to see if they will sell.

Yes, Mackin definitely knows if they will sell or not. But it makes no sense to put out an advertisement on a certain wheel, then demand a 9+ month wait.

Have the wheel in stock and let people buy the things. Then if they oversell, then take orders or do another run.

The business practices of Volk/Mackin are very poor IMO. They both know what wheels will sell in the North American market, so send them over here. Especially when you advertise something.

daaaam i would be so pissed, ta's are so last week its almost 2008 for faucks sake

 

I'm on the "deposit paid" list for these in 16x7. As long as they come by spring time then I'm happy.

 

If anyone can host I have pictures of these wheels already in person. They look so much better in real life.

Bet the pictures were from Sema, I saw they had one of them displayed. I slapped the lip of the wheel with my *****, got some strange F-ing looks from people...
