i have recently fitted a turbo kit to my prelude. it is a 1993 2.2 vtec import. it is all up and runing apart from a problem. wen it comes into boost it holds back and pops and bangs. do i need to uprate the fuel system or have it mapped. if so who can do this. many thanks Jon

Take the kit off and read the forced induction forum FAQs for starters.

Yeah, there are MANY a turbo prelude questions and their answers found in the FAQ.
I'd take Hawkze's advice and take the kit back off before you do anymore damage.

 

what plugs are you running? what gap?

are you running an FMU?
what size injectors?

the engine needs to be tuned properly if you want it to last.

 

why do people risk their engines by just slapping on turbo kits, and beating the **** out of them.
I would suggest get it tuned with Hondata or some engine management system.

 

keep comments minimal please. Some people just dont know any better.
