Default need help choosing spring rates

ok so far i need looking for the kind of set-up that would do well at the track and on the street. i love a stiff ride and i don't care about sacrificing ride comfort . i just want my car to handle well on the street and be set-up'd for the drag strip come track days.

this is for a 89 crx with a single cam with maybe around 150 horsepower maybe when its done cross your fingers lol.

A dedicated drag race setup is not going to handle well on the street. You say you don't care about ride comfort, but I'm positive you wouldn't want to daily drive in a CRX with 1000lbs/in rear springs.

I couldn't tell you, ride quality is subjective. I drove around an 88 EF Sedan for a few months on 560lbs/in front and 448lbs/in springs rear and it felt just fine for me. Some might say it's too harsh for a street car, some might say it's not enough for a track car. I never tracked the EF. Damping plays a part in ride quality as well.

I suggest figuring out which is really more important to you: how much you enjoy bumps and rattles during your daily drive, or how to drop a tenth of a second off your 1/4 mile time during the handful of times you hit the dragstrip. It'll be easier for you to determine a compromise that way.

yeah, 800 in the rear, maybe even 1000 if you're more concerned with drag. Take you pic in the front, i was told 800 rear 550 in the front for a good stip/street setup.

Don't go off of just what I said, im still new to learning about suspension also, but get a few more opinions before you make your investmetn, i was told 800rear and 550 front but then again i drive an integra, for a crx you may not need such high spring rates.

cool, good luck on the suspension mods, if you're not sure what to buy, you can always call one of the many vendors here on H-T that sell suspension parts and get their opinions

Yes. You could even contact the company themselves such as Ground control. Best of luck mate

im running 12k in the front and 14k in the rear with 16k adjustable dampers in the rear as well.

i love it! it is really really stiff but the ride is not that bad on the street. major improvement! rides like a whole different car. if i could go back i probably would have just went with the 18k rears... but at the time i had no idea if they would be too stiff and my car is a street car.

i suggest PIC Performance for your suspension needs.

DD AGX shocks with skunk2 coil overs in the rear 12K and H&R integra race springs up front cheap and gets the job done very happy with the setup!

and left money for the traction bar LOL!
