finished my swap but got a tranny problem!!! HELP!!!!!
ok so I just installed my semi fully built lsvtec turbo motor in my teg and everything is running great until I took the car for one final test drive. at first I was driving the car around the neighborhood at then after seeing that it was running normal i decided to take her on the freeway but right before I got her on the freeway something seemed to pop out of place and the car would not move.
VEHICLE: 95 GSR LsVtec B18A1 block, B16 tranny from an EM1
ORIGINAL SETUP: LsVtec B18B1 block, GSR tranny
THE GOOD:
the motor stays on runs normal, clutch goes in like normal, shifter shifts like normal,No leaking whatsoever,my mechanic did top off the fluid with 2 quarts of genuine Honda manual tranny oil.
THE BAD:
-I could put the car in any gear let go of the clutch and the car wont move or wont die no matter how fast I let go of the clutch.
-I noticed that the cv joint on the pass side where it connects to the tranny looks as if it is not fully pushed into the tranny I could not really see how the drivers side looks.
-when we put the cv joints in I just pushed them in, I am wondering if maybe I was supposed to hammer them into the tranny so they can pop in or if they just slip in without alot of force????
well hope this in enough info to get an idea of what my problem might be.
thanks
-Dan

Sounds like a loose axle it is. When I rebuilt my trans, my axles kind of snapped into place, like it had a clip of some kind on the end.

the original tranny and axles that were in the car were from a gsr tranny and I swapped the tranny with a b16 tranny but kept the gsr axles will the axles still fit the b16 tranny???
