Have skunk2 drag launch springs been discontinued?
I was trying to find the drag launch springs on the skunk2 website and I couldn't find them. I was trying to find the part numbers for the rear, as well as the different spring rates.
i found them in the skunk2.com/merchant rather than the skunk2.com/online site.
But what i need to know now is what length do i need for a 97 gsr, 6",7" or 8" length

Have the rest of the spring rates been discontinued? How much lower than stock will the 7" be over stock, and can i run those with stock struts?
We have both 7" and 8" long 12KG Springs. 521-99-1100 = 7" and 521-99-1110 = 8" Neither of these nor the 18KG spring are to be used on a stock shock... they are designed for a coilover suspension.

Yes, if you want the dampers to blow out so that you have to tear it down a second time to install the aftermarket ones you should have installed with them in the first place . . .

Even if you keep the car at stock height, i wanna maintain stock height but stiffen up the rear end for a better launch. Its a daily driver that sees the strip every now and then

Ride height has little to do with the fact that the stock dampers absolutely cannot control a 670 lbs-in spring rate.
Why would you even want to put springs intended solely for the drag strip on a car that you drive every day but only take to the strip a couple of times a year?

i had them on my daily driver, i have no complaints about them. little to no body roll when cornering.. but the *** end floats a little over 110mph but not much more then it did stock..
What stuts are you using? Im asking cause i may buy some 10K for the rear and use my H&R sport springs in the front with stock struts
i'm running agx 5 way adjustable ones.. i have an extra set of 1200 lbs. ones if your interested. i was going to put 1200s on all four corners of my car, but decided to part my project out. Just a thought
but ya, the strong spring rate could over power the valve in your stock struts and wear them out. but at the same time your springs are going to be so stiff that your shocks wont be doing much anyways.
i used to be able to tell when i changed between the 5 settings that i can on my struts and with the springs in it's all about the same.. i ran springs like this when i has a road race car with i was 16~17

i wouldn't recommend using the drag launch springs for a DD, from personal experiances, the ride was to ruff for my liking on tockico blues .. why dont you save for fuction form or k sport coilovers that you can set up for street or drag just as i did

Yes they will. They will be trying to control 670lbs/in springs when they were valved to handle 20% of that. It will take springs much stiffer than 670lbs/in to prevent the shocks from compressing at all.

You can get 1000 lbs-in springs from just about anywhere. I'd call Ground Control if you want Eibach, or Pegasus if you want Hyperco.
H&R and Swift also make linear-rate race springs for coilovers.
